Council Member Ian Blakeley who works at Hunslet Engine Company in Leeds has worked in recent months on a project that will be of interest to all you rail enthusiasts. It involved the refurbishment of two locomotives. Here are Ian’s words:-
” Please see attached three photographs of the two locomotives parked up in a field before we started work. They were purchased by us from a preservation society who sold then on because they required too much work for them to bring back to life.”
