8. Current Programme. Mr. Kibler has been in contact with Neil at Kirklees Light Railway who said they would be prepared to give us a visit, but this is probably something for Spring / Summer (Railway runs from Clayton West to Shelley). It was suggested that it might be a good event for our ladies evening. Neil is also a pilot and might be prepared to give us a talk on an aviation related topic hopefully in April 2020. Mr Bentley has been in touch with the gentleman who is giving us a talk in October on the building of the brand new class P2 Gresley locomotive the “Prince of Wales”. This is wholly funded by charitable donations, council agreed to make a donation of £100 on the night of the lecture. Mr. Aldersley will arrange for Ian (the man who gave us the talk on explosives) to give us a talk in November titled “Claret and Blue” and is also in talks with the managing director of Extrusion Systems (the company we visited last year) with a view to visiting their other factory in Golcar. Mr. Shergill is trying to persuade his contact at Kennametal to give us a follow up talk (he spoke to us about cutting tools last year). Mr. Murray said he will be away from early November to the end of March so we need someone to take over producing and posting out the circulars.

9. Next Session. Nothing to report.

10. Website. Mr. Murray said we should consider having a sponsors’ board at the golf tournament on which we could display their names/company logos. Then when the photographs are displayed on the website the companies are given some recognition for their sponsorship.

11. You Tube Video. Mr Aldersley suggested that we offer Tom who posted our video on You Tube, free membership, this was agreed by council.

12. Golf. Nothing to report.

13. Annual Dinner. Mr. Kibler proposed that next years dinner should be on the 4th April. Mr. Aldersley said he has offered Huby (the gent from SKF who talked to us about bearings) a free ticket to the Annual Dinner. We discussed offering Huby a free membership, but thought we might offer SKF a corporate membership instead.

Any other Business. Having no other business Mr. Town closed the meeting.
