This year the event was held at Cobble Hall (Leeds) G.C. The weather was cool with gale force winds. The service from the Golf Pro Office, Bar and Caterers was very good throughout the day. It was the 84th Braime Trophy event and it was won by Dan Brown who has a handicap of 3. The scores were low due to the winds, with Dan Brown retaining the Braime Trophy with 37 points…..

Steve Stacey took many photographs during the day as he was not playing this year due to his bad knee. Jas Shergill took photographs of the evening presentation.(See further down the page.) Steve gave an insight into his photography of the day:-
“As I couldn’t play on the golf day, I took a lot of photos, including players teeing off at the 1st. I used a high-speed sports setting on the camera, which picked up 3 or 4 pictures of everybody’s swing so have selected one for each person, except for the 3-handicap golfer, which shows a perfect swing, so included 3. In many cases you can see the ball in flight.”
Here is Steve’s slideshow of the golf…. (You can navigate through the photos using the arrows on the screen or watch the slideshow.)
