Cameron Pinder – LAE Council Member & World Skills Competitor
No doubt you will have been following the progress of our council member young engineer Cameron Pinder.
In further pursuit of developing his skills he has secured the use of the 5-axis Haas machine tool at Leeds City College, using tooling and toolholders supplied by LAE corporate member M.A. Ford, a special extended vice from Lang, the use of CAM software from Mastercam and he plans to make a special part for his sponsors.
Cameron has sent some pictures and a video of the 5-axis Haas at Leeds City College. He says he is looking forward to teaching the staff and later the students in how to use the machine, as when it came to the college it didn’t have any tooling or a vice. In addition, three staff members on the machine training course are no longer there…
