Daytime Visit: The Steam Workshop – Liversedge

Thursday 30th April  – Meeting at 12.30 pm for a 1.00 pm start of the visit.

Venue: The Steam Workshop Unit 6 Anchor Business Park, Liversedge, West Yorkshire, England, WF15 6AU.

Parking on site is limited as it’s a working day so you may have to take a short walk from nearby street parking.

Our president Graham Roper has arranged a visit to The Steam Workshop. Here is Graham’s short introduction to the company:-

“The Steam Workshop in Liversedge is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of live steam models in various scales. Simon, John and Billy’s knowledge on the subject is world class.  Repairing, restoring and building from scratch locomotives, traction engines and stationary engines. The restoration of the 7.1/4″ ‘Duke of Gloucester’ is well worth watching on the You Tube video. The vast array of steam engines is staggering. John also specializes in steam injectors, a somewhat black art !  A company run to the ‘art of steam’.  P.S. Bring your cheque books as there are lots of beautiful models !”

Members of the Keighley Association of Engineers are also invited to the visit. Come along and see some first class models, celebrating the age of steam…
