Tonight we are to have a lecture from Harry Soutar. He is the recipient of the 2022 Student Award presented by the association. Harry is currently studying general engineering at the School of Engineering at Leeds City College. He has recently joined the council of the association and is our newest and youngest member.
.
.
Harry’s talk will explain the following:-
.
– The impact of minimisation localisation of power generation
– How as a society we could implement such systems
– How we would be affected on a sociological and political level by said system
.
Harry gave this synopsis of his talk:-
.
“I will talk around these main areas in detail and show a current design I am working on regarding minimised renewable energy sources.
How Britain could benefit on a technological and electrical level by implementing a network of miniaturised and localised power sources. How we may actually implement systems like this and then how our society could be affected and what we may need to change on a societal scale to really reap the benefits of such systems.”
.
Come along and support Harry this evening and hear all about his interest in miniature power sources.
.
As usual we will retire to a local hostelry for refreshments and socialising…..
