Interesting Bygones
Tonight we welcome James Woods (or Jimmy as he likes to be known) to tell us about his interest in bygone times.
Have you ever wondered what could be cured by Dr. Macaura’s patent Pulsocon ?
Or how a sash window was repaired with a mouse, long before the days of computers ?
Jimmy enjoys a reputation as an expert in all things mechanical and will bring along a selection of his favourite contraptions, being a mixture of the exotic, the nostalgic, the unlikely and the ingenious.
Incidentally, if Jimmy brings along his ‘Pulsocon’ he will no doubt tell you how it claimed to be a ‘lasting cure for all nervous diseases and functional disorders’ !
This event is our Ladies and Partners Evening and we hope to have a buffet or ‘sit-down’ meal at a local hostelry…. More details closer to the event…
