Tonight is the ‘AGM’ – Annual General Meeting – of the Leeds Association of Engineers. Officers will be elected for the next session. The Accounts will be presented by the Treasurer for your approval and the usual business conducted as swiftly as possible in order to move on to the main event, the lecture by your Treasurer…

John Bentley (LAE Trustee and Treasurer) is a keen modeller who has built some superb models of locomotives and rolling stock.  Tonight he shares some of his secrets and will bring along some models for you to appreciate.

John’s latest locomotive project, when it was ‘work in progress’…….

He describes his talk as follows:-

A look at the building of “0” gauge model railway locomotives from kits, showing various materials, purchased parts, motors and gears, wheels and accumulated tools to make an electrically powered running model.
