Lecture: Harry Soutar on ‘Project ORION’
Thursday 26th March 2026 at 7.15 pm – Morley Central Methodist Church Hall
This month’s lecture will be from our member Harry Soutar, a student at the University of Leeds and the director of Project ORION, a student engineering organisation constructing extra-terrestrial rovers. The talk will introduce in full detail who the group are and what they work on, show off their designs, show us their future plans, and talk through how they have used the associations funding to progress their project. Harry will also be discussing some key points of interest in the space sector at the moment and how cutting edge research is used by the group to design the best possible solutions to engineering problems they are faced with.

After the lecture as is the custom we will retire to a local hostelry for refreshments and further socialising. Don’t miss this event !
