Summer Solstice Event – Thursday 20th June at 7.00pm
For many years we have arranged a social evening to coincide with the Summer Solstice. It has often taken the form of a short walk in a pleasant location to be followed by supper at a nearby hostelry.
In the past we have strolled around Farnley Park, Ogden Water, Temple Newsam, Newmillerdam and Shipley Glen to name but a few. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and acquaintances during the summer recess and have a bit of gentle exercise and a convivial supper.
Malcolm and Lynne Murray have arranged these summer events in the past and last year’s Boules Competition proved to be very popular. It is hoped that as before a light supper can be arranged for after the event. Closer to the date we will let you know what is in store for us this year…..
