Summer Solstice Walk
For many years we have arranged a social evening to coincide with the Summer Solstice. It has taken the form of a short walk in a pleasant location to be followed by supper at a nearby hostelry.
In the past we have strolled around Farnley Park, Ogden Water, Temple Newsam, Newmillerdam and Shipley Glen to name but a few. It’s a chance to catch up with friends and acquaintances during the summer recess and have a bit of gentle exercise and a convivial supper.
Our membership secretary Malcolm Murray and his wife Lynne kindly arrange this special evening event each year. They will be giving details of the 2024 walk closer to the event.
