‘The Food Academy At Printworks’

This is a special event for the Ladies, a visit to the new Food Academy at Leeds City College’s Printworks Campus which opened to the public in October 2013 on Hunslet Road. This impressive training restaurant provides commercial experience and training for students.

The evening will comprise of a cooking demonstration on Spherification which is a great trick. This quintessentially Modernist process transforms a liquid into an orb enveloped by a gelled skin. The results look interesting, and there is a certain child-like joy in spooning into your mouth beads that instantly burst and saturate your palate. A few ladies will be invited to have a go…..

There will be a bar open and the demonstration will be followed by a buffet.

We need a minimum number of 30 guests.

This will be a subsidised event and the cost for each guest will be £12.50 This is to cover the college being open for the evening. Closing date is the 12^th January for attendance.
