The Braime Trophy was presented to the association in 1936 by the proprietors of the long established Leeds engineering company T.F. & J.H. Braime Ltd. to be presented to the winner of the annual association golf tournament.
This silver rose bowl can only be won by members of the Leeds Association of Engineers and so guests playing in the tournament are encouraged to join the association in order to be able to win this coveted trophy. It is presented to the winner at the dinner immediately following the golf tournament and then again at the annual dinner for the appreciation of the larger gathering of members and guests.
Since 2013 Alan Braime, who is the great-grandson of the presenter of the trophy, has played golf during the day and presented the association silverware to the winners at the evening dinner and prize-giving. In 2016 Alan himself won the Braime Trophy……
