Here are Ben’s own words on his achievement:-
“I’m proud to share that I have been selected as the winner of the Leeds Manufacturing Festival Apprentice of the Year Award. The past two years have been crazy; I’ve been learning new machinery, new technologies, new ways to cut metal — the list goes on and on. Despite all I’ve learnt, I still think the most important part has been meeting passionate, driven and intelligent people who all share the same mindset: we all love engineering. Whether it’s cutting metal, grinding tools or building trains, we all work together in this industry to create, innovate and provide for others. Thank you to the Leeds Association of Engineers for supporting all of us younger engineers as we continue to learn and follow in your footsteps.”

From the President, Council and Members of the Leeds Association of Engineers we send our heartiest congratulations to Ben on this great win !
