The 160th Anniversary Dinner
Saturday 29th March 2025 at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. at The Manor.
The Leeds Association of Engineers celebrates a milestone this year with the 160th Anniversary Dinner. The association was formed in 1865 and an anniversary dinner has been held every year since 1866, apart from during wartime periods when it was either cancelled or a luncheon held.
The 1866 dinner was chaired by ‘Thomas Harrison’, a civil and mechanical engineer, who worked with “The Father of the Railways” George Stephenson and his son Robert. Since that time many distinguished engineers have presided over our anniversary dinners..
Following last year’s relocation to a new venue the dinner will again be held at:-
The Manor, Bradford Road, Drighlington, BD11 1AB.
Dinner Secretary Andrew Kibler has booked some additional entertainment for your enjoyment on this special occasion…. More of that later !
Full details with a menu and application form will be published in the New Year.
In the meantime please pencil in the above date on your calendars and in your diaries and support the association by coming along to meet up with your friends and colleagues for a splendid social evening…..
The Anniversary Dinner is one of the most popular events of the year…
Don’t miss it !
