We have been invited by Diana Scholefield MD, to visit the plant in Keighley. This firm produces ‘specials’ rather than the standard types of blind fastenings, so will be an interesting visit . (By the way, we are NOT allowed to use the word ’Pop’ rivet as it is a rival makers trade mark !)
Gesipa Blind Riveting Systems Ltd was established as a UK subsidiary for the German Gesipa Group in 1971 setting up its manufacturing base in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
With the initial aim of providing German technology to the UK fastening sector it began its existence as piece part manufacturer but has evolved into a modern industrial production facility able to offer a full process from concept through to design, manufacture and testing in addition to standard off the shelf products.
