Welcome ! New Members of the Association
The President and Council are very pleased to report that we have a number of new members who have joined the association during this session. Special thanks must go to council member Cameron Pinder who has recruited several of his work colleagues from Kirkstall Precision Engineering to join the association, along with his Grandad too !
The Leeds Association of Engineers extends a warm welcome to our new members and we hope that they join us at some or all of the forthcoming events in the programme. To existing members, if you see new faces at events please go up and introduce yourselves, and make our new members feel welcome….
New members are:-
Peter Baker (Retired) Peter served a 5 year supported apprenticeship in a mechanical and structural environment. Followed by 49 years in engineering design related to the steel and nuclear sectors.

Cameron Pinder’s colleagues recruited from Kirkstall Precision Engineering (KPE) are as follows:-
Archie Harrison Archie is a CNC Miller at KPE.
Samuel da Silva Panifer Samuel was an apprentice at Plasutil in Brazil. He joined KPE as a CNC technician.
Kalum Downey Kalum is a Production Engineer working at KPE as a CNC turning programmer/operator.
Adem Haysad Adem is a machinist at KPE and works in Design Engineering.
Brokshi Dod Brokshi is a CNC turner at KPE.
Rafael da Silva Santos Rafael was apprenticed at Ambev-Agudos followed by a period at Duratex, both in Brazil. He works at KPE as a CNC technician.
Linus Gallagher Linus is a Quality Engineer/QC Inspector at KPE. He has a HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
Mark Firth Mark is a Quality Technician/Engineer at KPE, a CMM programmer (MCOSMOS PC-DMIS). He has a HNC in Electrical Engineering.
Harvey Court Harvey has achieved Level 2 in CNC machining at Leeds City College and is currently doing an apprenticeship at KPE.
Benjamin King Benjamin has been with KPE since April 2024.
Martin Richardson (Retired) Martin has been retired twelve years and in his career was a Maintenance Fitter, Marine Engineer and a University Manager in Civil Engineering Workshops – Student & Research. (Martin is Cameron Pinder’s Grandad.)
