On the 15th April 2023 we held the 158th Anniversary Dinner at Headingley Golf Club. Below you will find some photographic memories of the 2023 dinner, courtesy of our regular photographer council member Ian Scholes….
Dinner Secretary Andrew presided and introduced our president Ross Town who delivered a short speech welcoming the members and guests and thanking them for their support.
Andrew and his wife Charmaine had complied a couple of picture quizzes. Each table of guests worked as a team. The first quiz had pictures of famous people and we had to identify them and state what they were famous for. It certainly caused a buzz amongst the competitive guests ! The second quiz was taken from the latest highway code with pictures of signs. We had to identify what the signs were. To the embarrassment of a few guests, who were also drivers, we struggled to get them all correct !
As before, the meal and service were excellent… It is hoped we will be able to return to Headingley Golf Club for future events….
