Extra Visit – to Ellenroad Mill, Rochdale….
Council Member Barrie Yates suggested a weekend visit to see the world’s largest steam mill engines operating… Here is his comment….
“As I said at the last council meeting I am going to see the World’s Largest working steam engines at Ellenroad, Rochdale.
ELLENROAD ENGINE HOUSE Elizabeth Way, Newhey, Rochdale OL16 4LE Sunday 6th March . Opening times 11am until 4pm Entry £5 (children under 16 – Free!)
Hopefully a few members will join me. Every time I visit I am always amazed at the machinery which includes two beam engines. They serve drinks and cakes as well! So what’s not to like!
