Greetings people, I have some sad news to impart to you. Our friend and member Ken Norris has sadly died after a short illness .
We shall miss his stories and great experiences of a very long and varied career as an engineer. I first met Ken at the steam museum in Doncaster and managed to recruit him to our ranks. The term ‘They don’t make them like that anymore’ applies to Ken as he was a multi experienced engineer with mechanical skills with electronics and computers as well. He had huge interest in railways. He ran the narrow gauge railway in Shibden Park for years.
It is hoped that some members will attend Ken’s funeral to pay their respects and give thanks for his life and his years of membership of the association.
